School-held identities
The school assigns pupil codes and keeps the link to names. MindArc’s notice states it receives no pupil names, dates of birth or contact details.
Learner safety
Learner safety belongs in the conversation from the start. A supportive learning approach is one part of that; a school also needs clear answers about supervision, data and the boundaries of the product.
The learning experience
A learner getting stuck needs a useful response. MindArc’s approach centres on scaffolded support, retries and confidence, so an error can become a point to work from.
Learning support sits alongside the adults responsible for the pupil. It should be introduced with the level of supervision and assistance that the school judges appropriate.
Questions before use
Before a trial, your school should have the information it needs to assess the proposed use of MindArc.
What pupil information would be collected, who could access it, how would it be used, and how would it be deleted?
What can the learning support respond to, what sits outside its scope, and when should an adult take over?
Who supervises sessions, how are concerns raised, and what happens if a learner needs help beyond the maths?
How will the experience work for the selected pupils and their assistive technology, devices and support needs?
Before learners begin
This page sets out the discussion a school needs to have. It does not replace the product’s privacy information, safeguarding arrangements or your school’s own review.
